GA4 with Nick Guebhard 1.1

  • Waiheke Libary 131 Ocean View Road Waiheke Island, Auckland, 1081 New Zealand (map)

Are you ready for the change to Google Analytics 4 (GA4)? The date when Universal Analytics (the old version of GA) will stop tracking visits is 1 July. If you haven't migrated to GA4 yet, you need to get onto this asap.

Even if you have set it up, are you confident it is set up properly and do you know how to use it? GA4 is not a new version of Universal Analytics but a complete platform replacement. Many, many things have changed and the price for misinterpreting your data can be making the wrong decision.

Luckily Nick from DataTribe is here to help demystify it for us in a 6 hour 101 workshop run over 2 half-days. Nick has been working with Google Analytics since 2007 and founded DataTribe in 2015 to specialise in Google Analytics and website behaviour tracking. Over the years he has helped many of NZ's best known brands with their analytics configurations. As well as knowing the GA4 product inside-out, Nick has a wealth of industry knowledge which he can share to help you understand what the data means and how it is or isn't affected in the ever-evolving world of privacy considerations.

In this workshop you'll learn:

  • How GA4 is different and what new features are included.

  • What you need to do to set up GA4 to track your website.

  • How to configure the settings optimally and create Conversion events.

  • How to use the different reports and their settings to get the data you want.

  • How to set up custom reports and connect your GA4 data to Looker Studio so that you can build dashboards

The workshop has practical elements, so you'll need to bring:

  • A laptop (and charger, if you think you may need it).

  • Pen and notepad to take notes with.
